It’s that time of year again! Students in grades 4, 5 and 6 are invited to answer the question “What does home mean to you?” in our annual Meaning of Home writing contest.

Submission are due February 21, 2025. For every student who enters a poem or essay, $10 will be donated towards Habitat for Humanity Northumberland helping to build safe and affordable homes. Also there is a chance to win several prizes, including ipads and pizza parties. Winners also will have up to $30,000 donated towards their local Habitat for Humanity location.

This year, our goal is to receive over 300 submissions!

To help encourage participation, we have help from local realtors, Nikki + Jenn from Royal Service. For every grade 4, 5 or 6 classroom in Northumberland that participates, they are entered to win 1 of 3 prizes of $150 towards whatever they need in the classroom!
